What You’ll Do

  • Compilation, review, and analysis of various data sets for terrain, climate and streamflow
  • Preparing and running various types of models including hydrological, hydrotechnical and stormwater related software
  • Assesses climate change impact to engineering infrastructure
  • Assist with stormwater management and drainage studies
  • Provide input to civil designers and project engineers on project drawings, preparing construction specifications, bid forms and project cost estimates
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations under the direction of senior staff
  • Support Project Managers with meeting notes, budget tracking, monthly invoicing and reporting
  • Assist with preparing scope, schedule, and engineering cost estimates for proposals
  • Field inspection for water resources related projects involving collecting data, samples and site measurements and condition assessments, including travel to various sites in Western Canada
  • Construction site inspection and reporting, also at sites located across Western Canada
  • Assist in a wide range of water, wastewater, stormwater, water recycling and facilities projects.

What You’ll Bring

  • A positive and motivated personality!
  • Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Environmental, Civil or a related engineering field
  • Background in water resources, stormwater, hydrology/hydraulics
  • E.I.T. or eligibility for professional licensing with APEGA
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role
  • A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
  • Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.

Wage Range

  • $75,000-$85,000, wage dependent on years of experience
