JUNIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:

  • Work experience in accounting field is preferred;
  • Education: degree in accounting (or equivalent) or enrolled in CPA PEP;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Excellent with Excel and Microsoft suite of apps;
  • General IT knowledge/experience on PC is an asset;
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems

Responsibilities:

The role will be focused on assisting the accounting reporting process and daily operational projects for West Coast Seeds and its sister companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Timely and accurate assistance with the preparation of financial statements and supporting working papers;
  • Processing journal entries and transaction postings, produce analytical reports under guidance;
  • Provide support with the annual inventory count and external audit;
  • Finish ad hoc tasks from both accounting and operation departments;
  • Maintaining up to date financial information in SAP;
  • Maintaining and enhancing accounting and inventory integrations between systems by working with external consultants;
  • Building strong working relationships with vendors, customers and colleagues.
