Our growing engineering business is looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer who can help us create a more productive work environment while ensuring that our clients get the support and testing they need. The ideal candidate for this position is an organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1 to 4 years of practical working experience preferred but not required
  • Focus on geotechnical engineering preferred
  • Must be licensed or eligible for application for licensure by PEO
  • Mature and reliable individual with proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and reprioritize as needed
  • Possess superior organizational skills along with a diligent and efficient work ethic
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with attention to detail
  • Forward looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Basic understanding of health & safety; additional training will be provided
  • Applicant must possess valid driver’s licence along w/ reliable vehicle
  • Applicant must be physically fit to work, comfortable working outdoors and flexible hours

  • Field supervision of geotechnical and environmental soil drilling
  • Site visits/monitoring of foundation construction projects
  • Office preparation of field drilling logs, site plan drawings, project reports & site visit reports
