Description:
Our growing engineering business is looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer who can help us create a more productive work environment while ensuring that our clients get the support and testing they need. The ideal candidate for this position is an organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1 to 4 years of practical working experience preferred but not required
- Focus on geotechnical engineering preferred
- Must be licensed or eligible for application for licensure by PEO
- Mature and reliable individual with proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and reprioritize as needed
- Possess superior organizational skills along with a diligent and efficient work ethic
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with attention to detail
- Forward looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Basic understanding of health & safety; additional training will be provided
- Applicant must possess valid driver’s licence along w/ reliable vehicle
- Applicant must be physically fit to work, comfortable working outdoors and flexible hours

Responsibilities:
- Field supervision of geotechnical and environmental soil drilling
- Site visits/monitoring of foundation construction projects
- Office preparation of field drilling logs, site plan drawings, project reports & site visit reports
