Description:
KEY COMPETENCIES
- To be a leading figure in the creative team and be ready to rise to any challenging brief with a keen eye for detail, and a drive to deliver innovative digital / graphic design that drives response
- Be familiar with best practice design principles for Email, FB, IG, LinkedIn, TikTok, WhatsApp for Business (and any other platforms that may be added going forward)
- Team player – be able to brainstorm with other members of the creative team, especially the branch administrators and regional marketing.
- Good understanding of best practice principles for digital/graphic communication.
- Multi-tasker as we work under tight deadlines on many jobs simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail - Must have a superb eye for detail in order to keep creative concepts within guidelines set out in brand CI.
- Enthusiastic, dedicated, self-motivated and communicative attitude towards work and design.
- Excellent grasp of the English language, written and interpersonal skills
- Deadline driven whilst maintaining quality standards of service and delivery
- Have an interest in commerce, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques
- Good understanding of the Brand, CRM & Digital marketing strategies.
- You must have excellent image manipulation abilities. Grading and colour correction know how is a must.
- Your understanding of the printing process will enable you to liaise with printers to ensure great results on print jobs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years design experience in a CRM and Digitally focused creative studio
- A relevant tertiary qualification with a focus on graphic design
- A portfolio of previous designs completed
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of the Brand, CRM & Digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking and vibrant Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic, dedicated, self-motivated and communicative attitude towards work and design.
The main focus of the Junior Graphic Designer is to deliver marketing designs against a specific briefs to promote the PGP brand and conceptualizing creative ways to deliver on specific briefs and create campaigns in digital and print mediums, through the use of design programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualise and deliver design work for the Pam Golding Gauteng under the direction of the Regional Brand Manager.
- Driving response, leads and sales by delivering a clear message through a creative, well-designed piece of communication.
- Using your initiative to stay updated on new industry trends and technological innovations in graphic design.
- Understand that a large percentage of work is template driven in order to increase efficiencies and brand consistency. There are briefs that require more intense origination, but the focus is weighted towards utilising pre-approved templates. All work is to be crafted to meet expectations of the brand CI, positioning and quality, whether template driven or not.
- Working with Regional Marketing to ensure that all creative work meet the brief and are completed on deadline.
- To have a good understanding of the ways that the design and various advertising channels help Pam Golding Properties achieve their lead and sale objectives, and the ability to generate immaculate design for every brief.
- Liaising with National and Regional Marketing, Branch Managers and Regional Head to gain a good understanding of the Brand, Operations, CRM & Digital strategies so that design is developed (across various communication channels) which aligns with the objectives reflected in these strategies
- Understand the PGP National Marketing offering to the business and the role that the provision of regional and hyper-local creative collateral plays in supporting this.
