We have an opportunity for Junior Hardware Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. We are shaping the future of satellite terminals for airplanes and UAVs. You will be part of the team designing and assembling a complex laboratory infrastructure used in development, certification, and manufacturing of satellite terminals (modems, amplifiers, antennas). You will need to learn lots of new skills related to electrical hardware, mechanical and RF design and drafting under the tutelage of our experienced engineers. Eventually you will become an experienced engineer in our satcom aerospace product portfolio – search for “ASPIRE”, “Jetwave” or “Small UAV Satcom” on the web for more details.
Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights and safer skies.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • University education in engineering field
  • English fluency at minimum B2 level
  • A passion in finding out how things work, focus on task completion
  • Basic comprehension of different types of signals RS422, RS232, Ethernet, Arinc 429, and Discrete

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting functional assemblies, wiring diagrams, power distributions, and selecting appropriate components to satisfy performance requirements
  • Assembling complex harnesses, digital and RF patch panels, and overall test equipment assemblies
  • Verifying functionalities of assembled equipment per verification procedure, performing troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions
  • Authoring design documentation such as maintenance manuals, verification procedures, power distribution analysis, etc.
  • Supporting colleagues around the globe at the same time as they will be supporting you
