Description:

VANRATH are assisting in the recruitment of a Senior Health & Safety Officer for a large Engineering organisation. The organisation has had constant growth, and the successful candidate would join a part-of-the-future organisation.
Office is based in Crumlin - Monday to Friday (Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1pm)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • IPPC Licensing.
  • Able to navigate the ECHA website.
  • Environmental and occupational monitoring.
  • Net Zero / Climate change planning.
  • Good relationships with external agencies such as HSE NI, NIEA, auditors, and the Occupational Health team.

Responsibilities:

Focusing on Chemical Process, enhancing the Health, Safety and Environmental team capabilities as we enter a period of growth. The role will be to provide professional and technical advice to areas of the business involved in chemical use and processing, such as metal cutting, surface treatment, product preparation and coating. Responsibilities will be to address both risk and regulatory requirements relating to Health, Safety and the Environment. The key focus will be to drive improvements in chemical handling, storage, use and disposal. Ensuring compliance with REACh Regulations and working with Customers and Suppliers to understand the future of chemical supply.
