Description:
An exciting engineering role within an intrapreneurial start-up delivering a brand new product line inside an established corporate organisation. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new System Applications organisation being built from scratch; shaping how a bleeding-edge, innovative technology is deployed to the world’s leading automotive manufacturers.
The group will form the primary interface between the world’s largest automotive OEMs and tier-1 suppliers and the internal teams developing the technology which drives state-of-the-art cockpit HMI sensing systems. The system products are a combination of analogue-mixed signal circuitry with software-configurable digital signal processing and an array of software algorithms.
As part of being a founding member of the team, it is anticipated that team will establish a dedicated lab for the evaluation, validation and customer debug testing of systems. The lab will likely require an array of specialist test equipment, including robotics and equipment for analogue mixed-signal evaluation of components. In addition, it’s likely that the lab will need to support in-car validation of system functions.
An exceptionally challenging role suitable for a highly-driven, visionary, self-starting System Applications engineer with deep and broad experience in system-level validation, component level verification/evaluation and technical applications support.
Responsibilities:
- Integrating components to form system products which deliver functions
- Verification of the analogue mixed-signal portions of the silicon components
- Validation and qualification of the system products which deliver the functions
- Delivery and management of customization/tuning of system products for target applications
- Providing system-level application support for functions, both for customers and internal teams
- Defining and delivering the lab environment and equipment for the team to operate within
- Defining the process and procedures necessary for the team to operate
- Provision of system hardware platforms, managing internal groups to deliver components
- Establish methodology for evaluation and provision of customer POCs
- Supporting quick-turn prototyping of system-solutions at customers via POCEMI/EMC testing and expertise
