The Toronto office has an opening for a Junior Hydraulic Modeler to join our Municipal team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Registered or eligible to apply for E.I.T. with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Familiarity with water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems modeling and analysis
  • Aptitude for meeting schedules and budgets
  • Proven capabilities in planning and writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
  • Familiarity with commercially available hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, InfoWater would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of GIS tools.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage deadlines and field test requirements.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing hydraulic models for the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
  • Perform necessary modeling tasks assigned by the project lead
  • Involve in infrastructure assessment/planning studies including Master Plans, capacity assessments, etc.
  • Assist with field tests, data analysis, and other relevant tasks as assigned
  • Support different groups in projects related to studies and design
  • Assist with proposals including scheduling, and organizing information
  • Prepare technical memorandums/ reports, create maps, etc.
  • Perform any other technical tasks as assigned
