Description:
Centric Engineering Corporation (CEC) was founded in 2013, and offers a wide collection of services to Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Developers, while maintaining a high level of quality customer service. CEC has a wide range of experience that includes residential, commercial, agricultural, and institutional building structures.
We are currently looking for full-time applicants to work in our Production Residential Division out of our London area office location.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering (from an accredited Canadian University or equivalent),
- Understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC),
- Understanding of construction materials/practices,
- Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills,
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Woodworks software,
- Strong coordination abilities,
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment,
- Willingness to learn,
- 1-4 years of experience,
- Access to vehicle and a Valid Ontario Class G Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities:
As a full-time Structural Designer your key responsibilities are outlined below:

- Work on a variety of small, medium, and large-scale residential projects,
- Performing site reviews of construction,
- Preparation of design and construction administration documentations at various project phases,
- Interaction with a client (Owners, Developers, Consultants, and Contractors),
- Become familiar with design guidelines, standards, and regulations associated with building design and structural engineering,
- Accept technical guidance from peers,
- Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion,
- Coordinate building design & structural aspects of projects with other discipline designs and drawings,
- Complete documents in conformance with building code and office standards,
- Other tasks as assigned,
- Comply with all company standards, policies and procedures.
