MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 2 years of experience with fund accounting or back-office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and within tight deadlines, prioritizing in a demanding environment.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position may require light travel within a ten-mile radius from one office location to another as needed.
Responsibilities:
SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
ManhattanLife is seeking a Junior Investment Operations Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and will be responsible for preforming various analytical and administrative duties for the investment team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the trading desk with trade allocation, settlement, and processing corporate actions.
- Preparing daily cash position and reconciliation.
- Creating quarterly investment committee and board presentations.
- Maintain and update daily, monthly, quarterly investment reports.
- Maintain U.S. Treasury tracking spreadsheet and invoices.
- Generate competitive analysis by quarter utilizing NAIC downloads of financials.
- Maintain contact list database which includes brokers, banks, and trust relationships.
- Manage trust relationships and state deposits which includes managing the maturity schedule, releasing matured notes, and obtaining DOI approval of new collateral.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
