Some other key skills that you’ll have:
- Experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements, use of system design concepts, propose solutions, and translate these for other members of the development team.
- The ability to draw information out of the system using Oracle queries to come up with analytical conclusions would be truly fantastic.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development.
- The ability to deal with conflicting priorities within a high demand environment
Responsibilities:
A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
A s one of our Junior IT Business Analysts, you will work within the technology department as part of a product-focused, cross-functional delivery team where you will build trusted relationships with the wider department to bridge the gap between technology and the business.
In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and delivering high-quality communications, presentations, and visualisations, while also representing your team within the broader project and department. Engaging with stakeholders will be crucial, as you will collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge, convey complex ideas, provide updates, and effectively influence and challenge when needed.
Other key responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders and end users to identify and prioritise requirements.
- Use agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and look at innovative ways to solve problems and to shape the delivery.
Write high-quality, clear User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to form a well organised Product Backlog that is prioritised according to business objectives, from which the development team can estimate/size, plan and deliver changes.Proactively contribute to the Analyst community – contribute ideas, embrace change, share knowledge, and collaborate with a network of stakeholders.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?
As this position sits within a technical function, you will need to have experience working in cross-functional technology & development teams, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders, who are both technical and nontechnical.
You will be a collaborative person who enjoys working as part of a team and is able to discuss challenges in a way that helps others to see them, understand them and work through them. Of course, this is a Business Analyst role at its core, so the ability to gather requirements and analyse complex data will be what you enjoy.
