Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Helpdesk to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a final-year degree student or recently gratuadet to gain hands-on experience in IT support and develop valuable technical and customer service skills.
As an IT Helpdesk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UK team as the first-level IT support and assisting with the IT implementation of new business projects. You will be the liaison between our local IT external provider and the Sikla HQ IT department. You will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience in a professional IT support environment, and the potential to develop your career in the company.
Your duties and key responsibilities
- Being the first point of contact in Sikla UK for IT-related queries (problems and requests)
- Solving simple technical problems or working with the external and the international teams to solve more complex problems
- Supporting with IT on- and off-boarding users
- Documenting procedures or flowcharts of resolution for common IT requests or issues
- Installing and configuring hardware and software (or coordinating it with the external and/or international teams)
- Keeping IT stock hardware inventories
- Supporting the team with IT developments required for new business projects
- Communicating proactively and openly with all the departments and ensuring timely and effective resolution of user inquiries and problems
Your Profile
- Enrolled or finishing a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT support or a related field
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to pass technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team
- Eagerness to learn new technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent level of empathy and end-user satisfaction
- Milton Keynes-based or surrounding area (office based role)
