POSITION SUMMARY

Within a consultant business setting, the Junior IT Specialist is responsible for supporting installing, configuring, servicing, repairing, and maintaining information technology systems. Specifically focused on computers, networks, software and hardware. This position reports to the Senior Project & Systems Specialist in developing and implementing IT projects and policies. This position accountability will be focused on Information Technology support, including marketing/web design, system network support and social media.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Post secondary education in a computer related degree or at least 2 years equivalent working experience;
  • Experience in using and troubleshooting:
    o Windows, IOS, Android systems
    o MS Office, including SharePoint

o NetSuite o Saas Services for website and customer relationship management

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 offering support with accounts, permissions, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with basic webpage design tools such as

o Squarespace,
o WordPress and

o Search optimization tools

  • Basic design experience and knowledge of Workspace ONE is an asset
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems, such as computers, mobile devices, networks, software, and hardware
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues and requests from users
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and security of IT systems and devices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and clients on IT-related matters
  • Assist senior IT specialists in developing and implementing IT projects and policies
  • Document and update IT procedures and records
  • Maintain Web pages updates or changes, including ERP content support
  • Manages marketing initiatives promoting business marketing campaigns with MailChimp
  • Maintaining Social Media sites such as LinkedIn Branding page
  • Sourcing, ordering and tracking all equipment
  • Mobile technology user support and maintenance
  • Research and evaluate new IT technologies and solutions
  • Stay updated on IT trends and best practices
