Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing support to users during day-to-day operations in support of Green Light’s commitment to clients, as well as aid with monitoring and problem investigation
  • Work with the engineering team to provide help desk and junior system administration support.
  • Shadow more senior members of the engineering team, to learn and develop engineering skills as a path towards becoming a more advanced security-focused System Administrator.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Security+ required
  • Working knowledge of Linux (distribution agnostic)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server, Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to work with the team even if it includes performing routine tasks
  • Ability and willingness to learn new things to work towards becoming more advanced in your role
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone or chat with a professional demeanor
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it

Preferred But Not Required

  • Scripting using Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash or an equivalent language.
  • Cloud experience (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Network+ certification
