Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must possess a Diploma/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems or equivalent
- For Junior Role, entry level are welcome, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) will be provided
- For Senior Role, at least 3 years relevant working experience preferred
- Strong understanding of server and networking fundamentals
- Knowledge of up-to-date server hardware, configuration and management
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as VLAN, LAG, LACP, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, UDP, DNS, and routing
- Knowledge of L3 firewalls and network security
- Working knowledge in:
- Linux Server OS Administration and Linux Networking
- Virtualization technology
- Log management
- Internet Services such as Web and Database servers
- Basic security best practices and implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to troubleshoot IT problems using logs, and tracing through steps
- Meticulous
- Good time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and contribute as a team
- Willingness and capacity to learn new technologies and tools for the continuous improvement of systems and processes
- CompTIA/LPIC certifications is a plus
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet is a plus
- DevOps/SRE experience is a plus
- Experience with Load Balancers/High-Availability deployment is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade servers, networks, and associated hardware and software
- Manage asset inventory and keep precise records of all assets
- Monitor and assess the health and security of IT infrastructure on a daily basis
- Resolve issues related to infrastructure and network performance
- Oversee change management processes, ensuring all changes are documented and traceable
- Address service requests and incidents promptly to deliver effective solutions
- Collaborate with service providers to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Automate tasks using Bash/PowerShell scripting and advanced programming languages like Python/Perl
- Support IT infrastructure projects and perform other related tasks as needed
