Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

  • Provide local and remote IT, VoIP, and network support to 3C Metal Belmet, Namibia, and Mozambique staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimum operational uptime within our computer, network, and telephony environments respectively.
  • Maintain and manage the group Office 365 licensing platform and ensure the support and procurement process is adhered to. Manage user accounts within our Active Directory infrastructure and ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and the correct permissions are assigned to company data for staff.
  • Assist Department managers when needed for new software choices, impact analysis of software upgrades on existing system (OS version, hardware configuration, number of licenses, etc…)
  • Assist in Group projects/software implementation.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

IT Support:

  • Provide on-site and remote IT support for staff in Cape Town, Namibia, and Mozambique.
  • Analyze and resolve IT issues with help from third-party support providers.
  • Install and maintain remote support software, primarily using Itarian, with rare use of Team Viewer and AnyDesk.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including user credentials, infrastructure changes, and licensing.
  • Communicate continuously with staff about ongoing IT matters.
