This role is perfect for someone with a solid understanding of NHS Management Accounts who wants to hone their practical skills. It’s a challenging position that demands quick learning to effectively support the operational division.
The ideal candidate must have excellent Excel skills and prior experience in an NHS finance role. We’re looking for someone who is excited to bring their expertise and passion to our team!
The Junior Management Accountant plays a key role in overseeing the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring precise financial reporting for both the directorates and the Trust as a whole.
The postholder will support financial reporting by managing provisions, accruals, and prepayments, and processing adjustments to the general ledger. Discretion is crucial, as some matters may be confidential.
The Team Leader will manage and train the postholder, helping them become an independent Management Accountant ready for career advancement.
The postholder will be line managed and trained by the Team Leader, who will support the Deputy Management Accountant to grow into a strong independent Management Accountant ready for the next step in their career.
Our teams operates an agile working policy. We will expect the postholder to work a hybrid pattern to include minimum of 2 days in the office base at Infinity House in Crewe. The first few months will require an increased attendance on site while learning the job
The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
It employs more than 4,500 members of staff, has around 550 hospital beds, and provides a range of services including A&E, maternity, outpatients, therapies, and children’s health.
The Trust is also part of Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP), a new and unique local health partnership that provides a range of community health services for people across South Cheshire and Vale Royal.
