Description:
JUNIOR/MID SITE ENGINEER
Our client is a very reputable, Cork based, Tier 2 main contractor, with a long-standing presence in the Irish property sector. They are urgently seeking a 2 x Junior/Mid Site Engineers to work on a large commercial project in Cork City. REQUIREMENTS:
- Educational Background: Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil/Structural).
- Experience: Experience with a Developer and/or Main Contractor on residential projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong setting out experience, including familiarity with AutoCAD, Total Station, GPS, etc.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy, attentiveness to detail, and a methodical approach to work.
- Driving License: Full, clean driving license required.
- Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Customer Focused: Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Safety Oriented: Committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Site Engineer: Assist in checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
- Document Management: Aid in managing, monitoring, and interpreting contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
- Setting Out: Conduct site surveys, set out works, and ensure project designs are followed with precision.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with the Senior Site Engineer to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other issues that may arise.
- Health and Safety: Assist in coordinating and enforcing health and safety matters on site.
- Quality Assurance: Support quality management and BCAR coordination.
