We are searching for a talented software engineer to join our Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) team in support of an AFRL mission at Wright-Patterson AFB. The candidate will be expected to evolve integration efforts between multiple Modeling & Simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS. The candidate will also be expected to incorporate and refine scenarios, vignettes, and critical mission threads across several simulation architectures based on customer needs. The candidate will work closely with both Government stakeholders and Radiance teammates across the country supporting other AFRL and Intelligence Community missions. Modern Agile software development practices are expected to be used. We are focused on finding innovative, self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort supporting munition concept exploration and development.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year software development experience
  • Minimum of 1 year C++, C#, Python, or Java development experience
  • Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners, etc.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with MS&A tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
  • Experience following agile development processes
  • Experience with virtual machine and container management platforms such as WSL2 and Docker
  • Experience applying object-oriented design patterns within software applications
  • Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, etc.
  • Experience developing software for Linux platforms
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices
