JUNIOR NETWORK ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY:

Working directly with our clients, Britec’s Junior Network Analyst develops, maintains, modifies and troubleshoots customer requirements in their technical environment. Under project-level direction, the Network Analyst II will take initiative and ownership of projects by providing technical direction in the deployment and maintenance of networked systems.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-5 years of hands-on IT experience within infrastructure operations which includes experience supporting Windows Desktops and Servers
- Networking or I.T related certificates.
- Support experience in Windows 10/11
- Support experience in Windows Server 2022
- Hands on experience of network troubleshooting
- An understanding of Active Directory, DNS and GPO
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A desire to provide impeccable remote and in-person support.
- The ability to work comfortably and efficiently from home or at client locations.
- An understanding of computer networks (components, topology, etc.).
- An understanding of Microsoft 365, including Teams.
- Knowledge of MS-Office applications.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and experience troubleshooting hardware failure.
- MCP, A+ certifications are on asset
Position Responsibilities
- Plan, install, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain operating systems.
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, space management, quality assurance and disaster recovery planning to ensure the systems are secure and reliable.
- Act as the Network Administrator, including use and maintenance of Microsoft Windows, WAN/LAN infrastructure, Internet access, e-mail, security, data integrity, and virus protection maintenance
- Provides recommendations & support (hardware and software) for clients
- Provide end-user support for all applications
- Accurately estimate time required for, and record time spent on, support and project work
Abilities & Skills Required for Success:
- Ability to work in an environment which is subject to high-stress urgent work situations
- Ability to actively listen, and skilled in expressing ideas and presenting them in user-friendly language
- Good analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand assigned tasks, clarifying if necessary, and take accountability for delivering timely results
- Flexible & able to rapidly learn new technologies
Working hours:
§ Mon – Friday
§ 8am – 5pm (1 hour for lunch). Flexible hours required based on client needs.
§ Position based from Calgary office.
