JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a bright and motivated Junior Polymer Chemist to join our research and development team. You will play a crucial role in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing novel polymeric materials with applications in water harvesting. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience with polymer synthesis and characterization techniques gained through academic research or internships.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with polymer synthesis methods, analytical instrumentation, and data analysis software.
• Passion for Sustainability: A genuine interest in applying polymer science to address global water challenges.
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):

• Experience with water-absorbing polymers or hydrogels
• Knowledge of water treatment technologies
• Understanding of environmental regulations

• Polymer Synthesis: Conduct laboratory-scale synthesis of polymers, copolymers, and hydrogels, following established protocols or developing new ones.
• Material Characterization: Utilize analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, microscopy, rheology) to analyze the chemical, physical, and mechanical properties of polymeric materials.
• Performance Testing: Evaluate the water absorption, retention, and release properties of polymers under various environmental conditions.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Meticulously document experimental data, interpret results, and prepare clear technical reports and presentations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of chemists, engineers, and business professionals to translate research findings into practical applications.
