Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We are now looking for an analytical and positive person to join our team as Junior Pricing Actuary.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Junior Pricing Actuary within Zurich Nordic, your main areas of responsibility will be case pricing of large commercial accounts, quantifying the impacts of underwriting actions, supporting market-facing underwriters on pricing matters, driving improvements in data quality, methodologies and processes to meet evolving needs and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. You will also support the Chief Pricing Actuary with portfolio profitability management and development of monitoring capabilities, provide support and advice to relevant business partners, including insights into underlying performance and implications for the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in actuarial science, mathematics/statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, natural sciences or any other numerate degree
A few years of experience in general insurance, preferably non-flow pricing
Pursuing/holding an actuarial qualification an advantage
English language spoken and written at a high level

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge of the insurance industry
Knowledge of the actuarial pricing concepts
Understanding of the actuarial reserving concepts
Advanced knowledge of statistics and actuarial modelling
Strong programming skills, ideally R or Python
Knowledge of product development within insurance
Good communication skills and negotiation skills
As a person, you are a team player and an analytical thinker. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and you like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
