THE OPPORTUNITY:

BluMetric is actively searching for an enthusiastic Water / Wastewater Process technician to assist in our CleanTech Service Line. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in process or chemical engineering.
  • Experience with use of CADD and other standard scientific and engineering applications.
  • Ability to interact, as part of a team, with clients and teammates and be able to work in project team environment.
  • Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be fluent in the English, understanding of the French language is an asset.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of programs.
  • Must be able to attend industrial sites and observe all applicable safety regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Have or eligible for Enhanced Reliability or Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in preparation of process design and equipment specifications.
  • Assist in building, installing and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Coordination with various departments and disciplines required for project implementation.
  • Assist in Industrial and Commercial field reviews.
  • Write and review technical reports, and construction specifications.
  • Collect and examine available chemistry and flow data and compare the data against discharge limits and site requirements.
  • Assist in designing a treatment process that will achieve discharge limits.
  • Assist in creation of assembly/process flow charts or supervision of supplier assembly flow chart creations for manufacturing or rework activities.
  • Work with the rest of the proposal/project team to generate proposals or engineering requirements.
