Description:

We have a great opportunity for a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Junior Product Developer and Garment Technologist to join the apparel design department of a leading action sports company. Reporting directly to Head of NPD, you will be working to assist with the design & development of our licensed apparel collections. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting on both men’s and women’s inline and SMU apparel programmes.
  • Ensuring sample development remains on spec and within timeline.
  • Ensuring garment fit, embellishments, trims, care labels and packaging all meet technical/conformity requirements.
  • Working closely with the internal sales team to provide regular, concise and timely communication to ensure all customer requirements are met.
  • Creating and updating tech packs, producing CAD illustrations, technical drawings and graded garment size specifications.
  • Keeping detailed records of and sealing samples.
  • Attending weekly team meetings.
  • Sharing best practice with colleagues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level education (or equivalent experience) in fashion or related subject.
  • Good knowledge of garment construction, fabrication and the manufacturing process.
  • Good computer skills with strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
