JOB DESCRIPTION

The Junior Production Scheduler oversees all areas in the production department related to production planning, labeling and Data entry. The Junior Production Scheduler ensures that all personnel in the production area are following all policies and procedures and implementing training when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, or a related role is preferred but not required, but entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and move between office and production floor settings.
  • Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 25 lbs may be required.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for confirming with QC/Allocation Manager, that required product (produce and dry goods) is on site for pending production. Timing is critical and if product is not on site, Allocation must make arrangements to have product brought on site. If necessary, amend the Repack schedule to pack other products until the required supplies are on site. All of the above must be done without delays to customer shipments.
  • Review pending sales orders in Famous to plan the schedule for the next day of production. Amend the production schedule as sales orders are revised, cancelled or new orders are received throughout the day.
  • Coordinate preparation of shipments with the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Track progress throughout the day to ensure that ship times will be met and make required personnel adjustments to meet deadlines.
  • Remain accessible to Line Leads to address labeling and scheduling concerns.
  • Responsible for the efficient allocation of human and material resources.
  • Ensure ongoing e-mail communication with the Warehouse Manager and other departments impacted by activities in the production area.
  • Adjust schedules as needed due to machine downtime, material shortages, or changes in production priorities.
  • Track the progress of production activities and communicate any delays or issues to the senior scheduler and production team.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and completed work orders.
  • Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.
