The Junior Project Engineer will provide project engineering support to assist in ensuring site projects run smoothly and to operational standards. This includes tasks relevant to contract management, project administration, and project management & coordination, while working collaboratively with various stakeholders. The candidate will have strong organization and communication skills combined with an understanding of project processes, controls, and requirements for document control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Complete bidders lists for review and approval by procurement and project manager.
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for project-related purchases
- Contractor management, HSEC document process support, obtain HSEC forms from contractors, receiving and filing of signed off SOPs and certificates.
- Dig Permits; assist coordinators with drafting and obtaining signatures on permits as needed.
- Create construction packages for contractors; print off all relevant drawings and data sheets for the project to create field packages for contractors.
Project Administration:
- Maintain Google Drive package folders and overall listing
- Emailing of site alerts for project-related activities
- Project closeout support; locate any missing vendor documents as needed, uploading of photos to SharePoint
- Compile proposals and file in Google Drive project folders
- Liaise with document control
- Scan QC & ITP handover documents and upload to SharePoint
Project Controls:
- Assist where required to compile, process, and analyze project costs, schedule, and change management
Project Management:
- Assist with weekly meeting minutes and weekly reports
- Project planning and coordination between Engineering Design, Construction, Contractors, and Operations
The Schedule will be Monday to Thursday 10 10-hour days on a remote mine site, LOA will be provided for accommodations.

REQUIREMENTS
- 4 Minimal years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs including MS Project.
- Experience with Sharepoint, Google suite of products, Maximo & SAP ERP systems, and PDF programs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
- Familiarity and understanding of document control standards and procedures.
- Familiarity and understanding of project control processes (Cost, Scheduling, Change Management).
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, and priorities, and meet project deadlines.
