Our Warehouse Construction Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Project Manager to join their team in the London Office. You will be involved in various stages of new -build projects, modernisations and extensions of our existing property portfolio, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met.
Please note as per Lidl internal structures your job title will be Junior Consultant

What you’ll do

  • Oversight of all stages of construction projects in existing warehouses including minor repairs, upgrades and modernisations
  • Monitoring project progress, controlling budget and checking quality standards are met at all times while ensuring compliance to corporate specification and highest H&S standards
  • Remedying any issues quickly and effectively with an aim to keeping projects moving and ensuring deadlines are not jeopardised
  • Assisting colleagues in various tasks during delivery of large projects incl. major reconfigurations and new build RDCs
  • Assisting colleagues in sourcing new business partners, during tender processes and in setting up Framework Agreements with new contractors and consultants
  • Collecting construction data and creating various overviews as required (e.g. budget overviews, existing RDCs information, general market information)

What you’ll need

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction
  • Experience in a Construction/Engineering related role is desirable but not essential
  • A full UK driving licence (or working towards) and flexible to travel across the country when required
  • RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
  • Highly organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business
  • A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative
  • Knowledge of full MS Office package
  • Experience with MS Projects and Autodesk is desirable but not essential
