JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Junior Project Planner/Scheduler position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This hybrid position (work environment: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote) is a 24-month term-position (renewable six-month periods of performance) directly supporting Amazon Kuiper Executives and Program Managers. The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day schedule management and reporting. The selected individual will be required to work closely with multiple programs managers to develop, maintain and status program and project schedules that span a wide range of products and associated linked dependencies.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2+ years of experience working across teams to build an integrated a resource loaded schedule and program plan
  • Work with program managers, engineering staff, and finance to develop of program schedules (resource loaded)
  • Support program managers and capture managers on development of proposal schedules (outlining tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables).
  • Work with program managers and engineering staff on scheduling approaches for program dependencies
  • Work with program managers to generate schedule summaries for briefings and executive reports
  • Develop integrated portfolio schedule that tracks key milestones and dependencies across all KGS programs
  • Work with program managers on processes for maintaining and updating program schedules
  • Support program managers with recurring schedule updates
  • Develop and implement schedule performance metrics in support of program managers
  • Gather feedback from project teams and stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement
  • Manage and track KGS portfolio schedule

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance is required
  • 2+ years of experience building, maintaining and presenting integrated program schedules and plans

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
