Join our innovative R&D team as a Junior Scientist specializing in Cell Biology within the field of Animal Nutrition & Health, with a specific focus on Host-Microbiome Interaction. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge research on the structure and functionality of the animal gastrointestinal tract, employing a range of cell-based assays. Your expertise in techniques such as cell culture as well as immunoassays will be crucial, and experience with 3D and organoid-based assays is highly valued.
You will be an integral part of our efforts to explore host-microbiome interactions through sophisticated in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform routine and advanced cell culture techniques (2D, 3D), including primary cell isolation, maintenance, and differentiation
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical assays with regular quality control checks
  • Stay updated on latest research on cell based technologies
  • Support the whole team in regular labwork, including sample processing in animal trials.
  • Effectively communicate results through oral presentations and timely written technical reports
  • Communicate & collaborate with other cross-functional teams as well as external partners to support research initiatives
