Looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Settlement Analyst to join the team.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a trading, banking, or financial institution environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and letters of credit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR): Process and manage payments to suppliers and from customers, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.Monitor outstanding invoices and resolve any discrepancies or issues.Assist in preparing financial reports related to AP and AR for internal analysis.
- Letter of Credit (LC) Management: Review and manage the issuance and processing of letters of credit.Ensure compliance with all relevant terms and conditions in LCs to safeguard company interests.Liaise with banks, traders, and customers to ensure smooth processing of LCs and settlements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all settlement documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls and industry regulations.Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions and settlements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (trading, finance, legal) to resolve settlement-related issues.Provide support in audits and reconciliations when necessary.
