ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We are now looking for an energetical and dynamic person to strengthen our Lodz team working on maintenance and development of a Components Simulator, which is our future UE simulator, part of the overall Ericsson strategy to come first to market with 5G products!
The team is part of Simulation Services (SIS) in Poland that provides a bunch of services and tools developed for testing networks like 4G and 5G. Those test tools and test automation frameworks are required for verification of product and its functionalities during the development process.
Your role will include all development activities such as: requirement analysis, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We are organized in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.
Java is our programming language, and we also use Jira, Confluence, GIT

THE SKILLS YOU BRING:

Education: Master’s / bachelor’s degree or a student in Computer Software Engineering or similar field
Experience: a person keen to develop in telecommunication and SW development with basic knowledge of Java or 1 year of experience in Java programming with an interest in development in telecommunication
Working with people and networking skills
Ability to notice and solve problems

English language on a communicative level (B1)

• At the beginning:
  Participate in majority of steps of SW development cycle (Requirement Specification, SW Design, SW implementation, Test Design, Test Execution activities, Automatic test)

Develop competence in a technical domain

Be responsible for ensuring that the delivered software components provide the necessary functionality and perform in accordance to the overall requirements and to the customer’s expectation
Perform investigation, analyse and solve encountered issues and problems in both software and systems
Perform troubleshooting and customer support
Influence the product roadmap by architecture change proposals
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
Drive strategic technical leadership
