Description:

Junior Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a Junior level Software Engineer with a desire for a Full Stack skillset to help design, develop, test, and provide maintenance of high-quality software to meet business and customer needs. The role will require some office attendance to our Manchester or London Offices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to grow and learn, striving to write high-quality code that meets requirements and acceptance criteria, satisfies customer needs, and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability.
You will also have strong problem solving and analytical skills with an eagerness to learn and an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good attention to detail.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Experience in one or more coding languages (e.g. C#, Javascript)
Experience with development IDEs, such as Visual Studio.
Basic understanding of software development lifecycles.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
Additional skills (desirable)
Experience of working with and configuring CMS systems.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices including automated testing
Experience supporting vendor software packages e.g. Sharedo, Visual Files
What will you be doing?
This is a key position within our IT Development team helping us grow as we migrate from legacy systems and build new and exciting digital solutions. You will be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, with an understanding of best practice and development methods.
Initially focused on our digital transformation, utilising drag and drop tools provided through the UI to create new workflows, document templates and email templates, with end-to-end smoke testing of these configurations prior to QA handoff. Utilising JavaScript and other development tools for the complex custom configurations.
The role will evolve with opportunities to grow and learn, utilising a C# and frontend development skillset for the realignment and optimisation of our existing suite digital products, to the development and delivery or new and exciting digital applications.
You will help improve performances of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues, and you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation. It is required to adhere to architecture, design, implementation and security standards and best practices and when necessary, you will participate in code reviews following guidance and instruction from senior team members.
You will be passionate about how technology can help deliver business results and has a restless curiosity in emerging technology trends coupled with an innovative flair for developing new concepts.
