Description:

DescriptionLyrath Estate has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join the team.
As the Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the highest standards of food preparation and service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated chef looking to grow their culinary skills and advance their career in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu development and daily specials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and storage standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
  • Assist with kitchen management duties in the absence of the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for creative, high-quality dishes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
