Overview:
People Management, one of the UK’s most popular business brands, has an exciting vacancy for a junior staff writer, ideally suited to a journalist with initial experience of B2B markets who is looking to take the next step in their career.
People Management’s award-winning quarterly magazine has a circulation of nearly 140,000, and a daily email newsletter that reaches 120,000 subscribers, while our digital content is increasingly multi-channel – for example, we recently launched a tool that deploys immersive infographics and storytelling techniques for our long form features. We’re an HR brand with a reputation for good writing and hard facts, as well as visual flair and the ability to break stories – with a bit of wry humour thrown in.
All of which means this is a dynamic and hard-working environment in which to build your career as part of a team of experienced journalists. You’ll be writing across all our channels, contributing ideas, and getting involved in the news cycle, other digital content and print magazine.

- Researching potential articles and building knowledge to contribute your own ideas
- Using our software programme to build the daily email newsletter, and posting content to social media
- Writing articles for our print magazine as required
- Attending events and building contacts among the HR community
- Monitoring our editorial email inbox, answering/forwarding queries as appropriate, and undertaking admin tasks
