Junior Systems Administrator

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years System Administration experience
• NFQ level 6 or higher in computer science or related
• Experience administrating Microsoft environments, including Windows Operating Systems, Entra ID, Microsoft Hyper-V, and ideally System Centre Configuration Manager, Operations Manager & Virtual Machine Manager, Azure and M365
• System administration experience, including LAN/WAN wired & wireless administration (Juniper), SAN management and administration (Dell Unity), Firewall Administration experience (Juniper), SFTP, Video Conference Platforms (Poly) and a working knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Experience administering an effective backup and recovery, and disaster recovery policy supporting Business SLAs (working knowledge of CommVault Backup & Recovery products)
• Experience of current IT technologies and standards such as Azure cloud platform, Cyber Security Standards & controls, and structured IT service delivery practice (ITIL)
• Experience communicating with IT end-users and managers, providing status updates on issues and projects, presenting work to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and drafting technical documentation
