PROFILE SUMMARY

Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Junior Treasury Analyst to join our team.
The Junior Treasury Analyst is responsible for preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, assist with property taxes and other treasury related transactions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare journal entries for interests incurred, cash transfers, SWAPs, loan financings, cash receipts, chargebacks, and other treasury-related transactions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations including resolving bank reconciliation-related issues.
  • Assist with tax payments (property tax, GST/HST, income tax, etc.).
  • Work with the team to prepare daily cash transfers to fund bank accounts.
  • Settle intercompany payments.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Accounting, Business or Economics.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and ability to draft clear and concise written communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle time-sensitive and highly confidential tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
