DESCRIPTION

Under close supervision, performs a variety of security-related duties in and around court facilities. Controls entry, provides security, protects and maintains order, and provides an appropriate response to disturbances in court facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The equivalent of a high school diploma and three (3) years of direct work experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a closely related field involving the safety and protection of people and/or property. A valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires above-average physical effort involving physical interventions, considerable walking, and standing with limited sitting, driving, kneeling, and stooping. Lifting and carrying of up to eighty (80) pounds is required on an occasional basis and lifting and carrying of up to fifty (50) pounds is required on a regular/frequent basis. Work also involves the risk of being involved in loud, potentially threatening situations, potential bodily harm, and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
