About the role
Stamford Plaza Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated, focused and experienced Casual Kabuki Team Leader/ Supervisor to provide leadership and oversee shift operations and our Teppanyaki sittings.
In order to be successful in the role, you must be passionate, motivated and goal orientated. Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and run a shift.
Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help improve team member performance.
Maintain a constant focus on always providing an excellent guest experience.
Efficient complaint handling and problem solving.
Assisting in achieving financial performance for the outlet, maintaining processes and compliance.
Assisting in hiring and motivating the team to ensure that we maintain exceptional standards of quality and service;
Foster ideas and opportunities within the outlet and outside it to maximize revenue, increase profit and exceed customer expectations.
What we need from you
Working within the hospitality environment you will have the ability to communicate with all levels of our diverse workforce and senior management, in addition to;
Experience in Food & Beverage/ Bar attending in a 5-star Hotel environment
Experience in a Japanese fine dining setting
Must have Food Safety Handling Certificate (from either unit SITXFSA005 or SITXFSA006)
Must have legal rights to work in Australia
Must have experience working in previous Japanese restaurant / teppanyaki
A strong team player who leads by example.
Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while constantly maintaining a calm demeanor
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently & produce quality results
Enjoys meeting targets, working to high customer service standards.
Bilingual abilities (Japanese) is favored but not essential
Available to work shifts over a 7-day roster; including nights, weekends and public holidays.
You must hold a current QLD RSA
Possession of a current RMLV certification - highly regarded, but not essential
A commitment to highest levels of customer service
Take pride in personal appearance & presentation
Experience with Micros POS highly desirable
You will be motivated with a positive and exuberant personality and most importantly - love to have fun.
