MŌ TĒNEI MAHI | ABOUT THIS JOB

Te Manawahoukura, Te Wānanga o Aotearoa’s Centre of Rangahau is currently looking for dedicated Kairangahau Matua – Senior Research Fellows to join us in permanent, full-time positions, flexible to be based anywhere in Aotearoa. We have three roles available with a Mātauranga Māori focus to their Rangahau. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-level research either independently or as part of a team, while mentoring early-career researchers and building research capability across TWoA. We have a particular focus on building Rangahau capability here at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa so supporting kaimahi across the Wānanga will be a key part of your role. In addition, experience attracting research funding would be desirable. We are open to kairangahau at different stages of career and your application would be assessed based on your outputs relative to opportunity.

Kairangahau Matua – Senior Research Fellow will lead and contribute to Rangahau projects, with a particular focus on kaupapa Māori. We are particularly keen to hear from kairangahau with backgrounds in:

  • Promoting and preserving Mātauranga Māori,
  • Te reo Māori revitalisation
  • Tikanga Māori
  • Education and pedagogy
  • Science
  • Hauora
  • Te taiao
  • Toi
  • Kaupapa which work towards solutions for resilient Māori communities
