Description:

Kelowna Christian Center Society (KCCS), was established in 1982 with a vision for the community and global influence. KCC Society’s core commitment to the church, schools, community, and mission programs, impacts over 35 nations of the world.
Our ministries include Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS), Flex Academy, a division of HCOS, Building Beyond Borders, and Kelowna Christian Center church. Each ministry aims to achieve our mission of raising the next generation of cultural influencers.
We have an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This is an on-site or remote position at 40 hours per week . The primary role of this position is to be the first point of HR contact for new employees and contractors. Providing administrative support to candidates, hiring managers, internal HR, and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired employees.
As the Human Resources Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Coordinate, and administer the new employees’ and contractors’ onboarding life cycle in an efficient, and professional manner. This includes all onboarding processes through to the 3-month probationary period.
Complete all recruitment administrative processes while ensuring compliance with legislative and societal requirements.
Assist and collaborate with Managers on the creation of job postings ensuring consistency for all divisions of the Society.
Manage all internal and external postings to ensure accuracy and current legislative compliance.
Assist and collaborate with Managers on new job descriptions.
Manage and assist with the completion of Letters of Permissions (LOP’S) and Memo of Understanding (MOU’s) for all required applicants.
Assist with job postings processing, adding new job postings to the KCCS website; posting internally for sharing; posting on ACSI, FISA, SCHCA, and Castanet, posting on other sites as requested; renewing ads as needed; removing postings when filled; ensuring the KCCS Career page is uniform in aesthetics and accuracy.
Administer all employee offers/Flex TA agreements/SP Agreements.
Assist with PMF’s processing of EoE/EoC – termination in Sun Life & Manulife benefits when applicable.
Collaborate with and assist the HR department to ensure department goals are met.
Communicate by attending meetings, either in person or via Zoom with Managers, Department Heads, and co-workers.
Support and cross-train in HR team-related tasks within the HR department providing coverage as needed.
We are looking for someone with the following Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrated commitment to, and lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs
Completion of a post secondary degree in Human Resources is an asset
Combination of relevant experience (minimum 2 years) , education, and training will be considered
Proven knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, WorkSafe BC legislation, Ministry of Public Safety CRC process and current privacy legislation
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace
Ability to problem solve, and utilize team-building skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Empathetic and authentic care for people
Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient with timely follow-up
Collaborative and customer service oriented with strong conflict resolution skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to be discreet and manage confidential information sensitively
