Description:
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a professional and hard-working Kitchen Production Manager for full-time (37.5h/week) & permanent position in IKEA Espoo store.
As a Kitchen Production Manager, you will lead and manage a big kitchen production team by building business and people together.
You will take ownership for ensuring food safety and train others as appropriate. You strive to make people smile while providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our guests a good reason to return again and again.
You understand the importance of your team, your greatest asset. You succeed in your goals when your team members shine in their job as individuals and as a united team.
You have solid experience of managing, leading and developing a team, preferably gained in a retail/food service environment
You have an advanced knowledge of food production and food safety
You have experience of creating and executing action plans, setting budgets and following up on goals. In this role your team goals can be sales figures, staff costs, stock control and waste management.
You like routines in your daily work and working together with your team of IKEA Food professionals
You can communicate fluently in Finnish and in English
You are flexible and available to work also evenings and weekends. Normally you work 1-2 evenings per week and one weekend per month.
Responsibilities:
✔ Empowering and encouraging the team to take immediate action to meet the needs of customers and giving input on how to continuously improve our meeting with them.
✔ Securing that the preparation of food is always in line with IKEA concept and quality standards.
✔ Taking advantage of every commercial opportunity to grow sales and profitability.
✔ Ensuring together with the team that the kitchen area is clean and well maintained and that daily work routines are in place e.g. goods flow, stock control, ordering, production and waste management. You follow up on these in your daily work.
✔ Securing the right number of competent co-workers, at the right times, in the right places to meet customers’ needs. You are supported by people planning specialist with the actual shift planning. Your responsibility is to follow the hourly budget and set base staff need for each week and month and estimate the recruitment needs.
✔ Ensuring the proper production levels in order to ensure freshness, maximize sales and minimize waste.
In this role you will report to the Unit Food Manager.
