Department Overview
The coworkers of Electric Distribution Operations Team ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Position Summary
This Team manages teams that are directly and indirectly involved in maintaining or building parts of the service territory distribution grid. Supervisors and Superintendents may oversee teams working on small to medium projects within a specific region or may be assigned to teams working on large, complex general construction projects throughout the service territory.
The Field Operations leaders provide safe and reliable electric service while maintaining compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Orders, all safety regulations and other regulatory requirements. The leaders fully implement and hold subordinates accountable for safety best practices and adherence to the safety accountability model while ensuring full compliance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, working closely with the Safety Program Coordinator.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below , but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
