QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering, Chemistry, or Business area of study preferred.
- At least 3+ years of sales and key account experience selling into the Aftermarket segment (lubricants and/or automotive industry experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills (in English and French)
- Ability to deal effectively with customers at various levels.
- A focus on continuous improvement and initiative to maximize value to customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems is an asset (i.e., Salesforce).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, make decisions with good judgment, think strategically to identify opportunities, and lead initiatives within a self-directed project team.
- Previous experience in creating and executing client account plans with a focus on solution-selling.
- Demonstrated success in rolling out new business and delivering on growth targets.
- Solid understanding of direct selling concepts along with product and industry knowledge.
- Travel (~ 50%) will be required to manage and grow this sales territory, with occasional travel to the U.S for training and sales meetings.
Responsibilities:
The Key Account Manager – Aftermarket, based in Ontario (Toronto area) or Quebec (Montreal area), is responsible for growing and maintaining our Aftermarket business. This position will report to our Sales Manager and will be tasked with achieving agreed upon sales targets by developing, maintaining and managing business within Eastern Canada, with potential for National accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics in order to generate, qualify, and close leads to deliver on growth targets in the Aftermarket business.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Key Accounts.
- Experience with managing Aftermarket distributors and supporting training.
- Able to monitor international markets and trend development to bring learnings back into Canada.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to ensure customer awareness of related products and their technical requirements.
- Executes marketing and promotional programs in the Aftermarket space.
- Manage territory forecasts.
- Ability to operate within a CRM system to ensure sales activity is managed and up to date (funnel management, contacts, leads, etc.)
