KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER AND HEAD OF SECONDARY CARE

This job description sets out the scope of the role of the Key Account Manager and Head of Secondary Care it does not include or define all responsibilities or duties which the post holder may be expected to carry out. KEY EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

Proven experience in key account management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution sector.
In-depth knowledge of the Irish healthcare system, particularly secondary care and hospital procurement processes.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse data, interpret market trends, and make informed business decisions.
Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work effectively at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW / PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The role will be the primary point of contact for a defined group of clients of United Drug Distributors Ireland Limited together with the management of our hospital business across Ireland, focusing on strengthening relationships, driving business performance, and ensuring effective delivery of services.
This role is integral to the success of our partnerships with healthcare providers and will involve strategic account management, business development, and leadership across the manufacturer and hospital channels.
The role reports directly to the Director of United Drug Distributors (Board Member).
