About Us
We are establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States as well as expanding our manufacturing site in Denmark to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest network of end-to-end cell culture CDMO facilities in the world.
Our new sites will offer a network of end-to-end solutions to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US and in Europe. In addition to drug substance manufacture, our sites will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labelling services.
Role & Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager EUROPE in the Global Alliance Management (GAM) team will support the SVP, Large Scale commercial in development, maintenance and execution of strategies to strengthen existing relationships and foster new relationships with key accounts to support the continued growth of FDB across Europe and US.
As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for a number of key accounts and driving the strategy and execution of the relationship development and sales for that account.
- Work with SVP, Large Scale Commercial as well as other key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to support the growth of FDB aligned with the near term, mid-term and long term plans on Key accounts.
- Develop and nurture deep relationships with your key account(s) to increase the probability of FDB being selected as the preferred supplier of outsourced work that fits within the current FDB service portfolio.
- Leverage relationships with Key account(s) to identify trends and needs and provide feedback to the FDB Strategic Business Development group to support continued investment and business diversification.
- Work with broader commercial team and Program Management teams on relationships impacted by key accounts.
- Negotiation/re-negotiation commercial contracts with accounts including MSA’s, CSA’s, Scopes (as appropriate), equipment/capital purchases, etc.
- Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical relationship with other Key Account teams and stakeholders including C-suite, procurement, decision makers and influencers.
Any other duties commensurate with the role.
Qualifications and Experience

Requirements
- Relevant academic degree
- Essential experience: >5 years of relevant (business development, proven solution sales skills/experience) from the biopharmaceutical area with a personal network of contacts in this industry.
- Essential experience in generating leads with the capability to evaluate and evolve opportunities.
- Essential Business Acumen qualities: Understanding the customers true needs, identify the economic drivers of the customers business and potential value drivers for creating a change for the customer.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability of a strategic mindset for negotiating.
- The ability to embrace and overcome challenging conversations.
- Proven two-way communication skills with strong professional presentation skills.
- Proven ability to write business documents

This is a global position that will support all sites (United Kingdom, Denmark, USA) However, this is a European Remote opportunity. We have offices located in the United Kingdom (Teesside) and Denmark (Hillerød) and US. Benefits and compensation will be governed by the location that you are based at and considered your home site.

Our site in Hillerød, Denmark, brings together expertise, capabilities and technologies to manufacture advanced biologics.
