Are you good at creating contacts?
VL Staal, which designs and produces steel chimneys, is expanding into a new segment – steel constructions for e.g. cooling drums, bridges, wind turbine towers, building parts, pressure vessels, gas coolers, tanks, silos and flue gas ducts.
Therefore, they are looking for a Key Account Manager, who will be responsible for identifying new potential projects and clients and developing new projects in the segment of steel constructions.
You will report to the Sales Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have experience from project sales organisations within the energy sector or similar. It could be with components for combined heating and power plants. Experience with welded components and pressurised vessels is an advantage.
You have af background as mechanical engineer, machine engineer or another relevant technical education, however, relevant experience will weigh as much as your education.
You manage English at a professional level, both reading, writing and negotiation. German is preferable.
You are professional user of Microsoft 365 and an experienced user of Excel, Powerpoint and Word and are used to working with a laptop for both information seeking, communication and documentation.
As a person, you are outgoing and good at creating contact. And you have good communication, negotiation and collaboration skills. You are structured and goal-oriented, are self-motivating and can work independently, but are also happy to share know-how with your colleagues in the sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of RFQs and preparation of calculations
  • Contact with clients, including development/maturing of projects
  • Collection of prices for subcontractor deliveries, including transport and assembly tasks as well as surface treatment
  • Correspondence, quotations, and order confirmations
  • Updating the VL Staal quotation and CRM system
  • Contract negotiations and review
  • Development of new competences and products in the segment of steel constructions
  • Handover of sold projects to the dedicated project manager
  • Preparation of sales action plans and budgets for sales activities in coordination with the sales manage
