Description:
Position Summary
The successful applicant is responsible for developing and managing the Smartphones & Tablet segment in assigned Territory/Key Accounts across key countries at Samsung Gulf Electronics. Responsibilities include driving sales and trade marketing activities across Key Accounts while simultaneously forecasting demand and securing supply for the target channel and accounts. The applicant is expected to effectively work with and across multiple sales related functions (in-market and the UAE) in the most efficient way to achieve strategic directions of the company. Additional responsibility will also include giving direction and guidance to local sales leaders in-country and using their experience and insights to support senior management in decision making.
Role and Responsibilities
- [Sales target management] Manage the optimal sales target that will drive the growth of the business line.
- [Sales strategy setting] Review the optimal sales strategy that will allow to meet the sales target by analyzing the assigned market, product demands, and competitor strategies. This also includes planning and securing for enough product to sell into target accounts and channels
- [Sales support] Work with the in-market sales teams and account in the target region, and find ways to support their efforts to meet the sales target.
- [Sales monitoring, opportunity identification and risk management] Monitor sales and operation status and other issues and eliminate risk factors through efficient communication with key stakeholders.
- [Forecast Management] Provide accurate and timely forecasts as required to drive in-market business and meet sales objectives.
- [Market Sensing] Conduct market trend analysis and working closely with the Channel Partners to develop plans to overcome potential issues.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience in a direct sales function or sales support function
- The ability to make data work for them - strong analytical skills and the ability to digest large sets of data across multiple sources to extract key insights to drive assigned market and channels.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and communicate with all Mobile channel actors (partners, dealers, salespersons & end-users).
- Demonstrates a high level of productivity and quality. Multitasks effectively while managing priorities.
- Strong drive for results, combined with a creative approach to problem solving and marketing management.
- Proficient in MS tools.
- Experience from the Consumer Electronics Industry is an added advantage.
- Experience in working in Organized Retail industry is an added advantage.
- Supply Chain experience is an added advantage
- UAE and surrounding GCC country market knowledge is an added advantage
