Description:
Volta has developed an innovative truck designed to make our cities cleaner, safer and more sustainable. Our trucks are now on the road in user trials in Germany, France and UK and receiving exceptional reviews from potential customers and their drivers. Deliveries of series vehicles are scheduled to begin in Q4 2024 – and top priority is to build our order book to match our production plans. The design and performance of our trucks “opens doors” with our potential customer base. Now we have an opportunity to build our sales team to capitalize on the potential, with this role focusing on the German market.
Our focus for this year will be on key accounts.
Key responsibilities:
- Pipeline Development. Identify and engage accounts in our target markets to qualify their potential and “tell the Volta story.”
- Account Planning. Work with accounts to understand their business and sustainability objectives and develop a detailed plan where/how converting to a Volta Zero will support their objectives.
- Sales Pre-orders and Orders. Understand detailed specifications and requirements (both for truck and depot), provide quotations/offers, and manage the process to closing.
- User Trials. Work with customers to design and schedule trial of vehicle to facilitate the sales process. Monitor trial progress and ensure customers receive required data and feedback and reinforce conviction on purchase.
- Market development. Feedback insights into customer and market trends to help shape priorities and sales approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Proven success in developing and managing a successful book of business
- Automotive experience, particularly in fleet sales
- Strong network - ideally with one or more of target verticals (3PLs, Fleet Operators, Cargo Owners, Rental Companies.)
- Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on approach, practical and enthusiastic
- Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills, cross cultural understanding
- Ability to work autonomously in the fast-paced, changing start-up environment
- Solution oriented and comfortable inventing new ways to do things
- Positive and passionate, good team player
- Fluency in English essential
