Description:

Kuehne+Nagel NZ have a rare opportunity to join our Key Account Management Team. Responsible for traditional key account management tasks and responsibilities, this role sets itself apart from others in the market, by also being responsible for targeting new business and driving growth from existing customers.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • A minimum of 5 years’ international freight forwarding commercial experience including Supply Chain design and implementation
  • Successful track record in international freight forwarding dealing with customers
  • Proven ability to think outside the square to deliver creative solutions to a variety of customers
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Customer focused and commercially astute with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have strong resilience and the ability to recover quickly from setbacks

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for someone who is passionate about looking after their customers and able to build and maintain key relationships. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the account, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving process improvements.As well as ensuring we are delivering on operational KPIs and delivering exceptional customer service for your existing portfolio, you will also be required to identify and pursue new business opportunities both within and outside of your allocated portfolio.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively managing and expanding relationships with allocated key customers
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience through effective and efficient responses to customer enquiries and issues, both internal and external
  • Identifying and pursuing new sales and growth opportunities within own portfolio
  • Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the market
  • Develop strategies and process improvement initiatives to develop and maintain the overall performance of the account
  • Provide guidance and support to internal staff & teams, using your extensive knowledge & experience in all aspects of logistics.
  • Ensure accuracy of the setting up and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
