JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate On Trade KAM who has a flair for landing New Business to join our fantastic sales team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for growing our footprint in both Direct and Indirect Groups and Key Accounts. The role covers key cities in Central and Southern England but the world is your oyster!
You will have experience of delivering new business in the On Trade environment and you’ll be able to convey how you went about winning, so as to demonstrate your experience and capabilities.
You will be selling some truly beautiful, award-winning beers (and more) and you will understand where you will be targeting and why.

The role is threefold:

  • Retain your existing ledger by meeting customer expectations on service, supply and relationship.
  • Growing Share by cultivating exciting customer and consumer centric activity.
  • Winning new accounts, aligning our brilliant portfolio to brilliant pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels.

    This position is field based and may require travel to our Bermondsey & Huddersfield breweries and is a full-time, permanent position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • A hunter mindset.
  • Never being satisfied with how much you have won.
  • Always striving to understand where the next opportunities are.
  • Brilliant understanding and delivery of the sales process, to be able to articulate a clear understanding on the steps needed from planning to closing.
  • Knowledge of the On-Trade landscape, the key plays and the competition preferably within the Craft Beer category.
  • Working knowledge on the key groups in the north.
  • In-depth understanding of the drinks market and what it takes to make Craft Beer succeed in across all On Trade venues.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and numerical/logical reasoning skills.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and passionate with team-oriented mindset.
  • A clear understanding on sales metrics and how to review each.

Responsibilities:

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Help cultivate the New Business strategy for Central and South England.
  • Identify and evolve the IGC customer pipeline.
  • Creation of customer centric commercial proposals.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the market and its key players.
  • Development of meaningful RTM supplier relationships.
  • Supporting the RTM Manager in unearthing and winning share in Indirect venues.
  • Be the expert on the Key flagship venues and groups across the territory.
  • Develop brilliant relationships with Buyers and Decision Makers.
  • Present compelling and commercial deal structures for our range within all On Trade selling opportunities.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend events and conventions to promote our brands and portfolio.
  • Maintain effective communication with the sales team and other departments.
  • Deliver the growth budget for the South.
  • Review ledger performance on across all measures and work with the Channel Controller to close any gaps to targets.
